In my opinion, the best design is still the one by the architect without any further space gain in the bedroom.

I see it the same way. Especially a family of four needs space in the bathroom. The children are not alone in the bathroom at first, so you need space to help, bathe, do hair, etc. 12 sqm is a nice size.I also think the architect's first draft is best. Do you really need the space in the bedroom? Everyone is different, but we spend more time in the bathroom than in the bedroom, if you subtract pure sleeping time.
