Optimize bathroom layout

Thank you very much for the previous tips/ideas! We will reconsider it.

Simply combine walk-in shower and toilet: It is supposed to be healthier as well.

But I don’t quite understand why anyone feels the need to contribute something like that. Well...everyone has a different sense of humor...

Please post a larger section of the floor plan. Maybe the bathroom can be made smaller if you move some walls or swap rooms? Or is the floor plan otherwise fixed?

I see it the same way. Especially a family of four needs space in the bathroom. The children are not alone in the bathroom at first, so you need space to help, bathe, do hair, etc. 12 sqm is a nice size.

We currently have 8 sqm and manage well with 2 small children when we are all in there at the same time. "Compromises" we have made: 1) single washbasin and only 60 cm wide, and 2) the bathtub is "only" 160 cm long. Both are completely sufficient for us. For example, we used to be five at home with exactly one bathroom, and the second washbasin was still hardly ever used.

But it surely varies from family to family.
