The pantry should be at least 130 cm wide; and it will have exactly the same temperature as the surrounding rooms; no matter how you insulate it - what is it supposed to cool? The exterior shell in new buildings is too well insulated. In the planned form, the room is therefore purposeless.

I would also appreciate the furnishing. This way, it is easier to see where there is too little or too much space. I would choose the entrance to the parent area through the dressing room.

Are the floor plans oriented to the north? The pantry is useless to you like this. As already mentioned: all rooms in the house will have more or less the same temperature. In this form, it can hardly be furnished/used. Have you already thought about the kitchen?

To avoid making the upper floor too complicated, I would experiment with the following arrangement...

Access to the bedroom then through the dressing room. You might need to play around a bit with the stair position and/or adjust the dimensions of the bay window. And as says, then see how it works on the ground floor (but it should actually still work).

What is behind the beautiful natural stone wall at your neighbors' place? A monastery garden?

Hello everyone, as promised we have drawn the floor plans again here with our planned furnishing. I have marked the south orientation with the arrow.

A few additional pieces of information about the floor plans:
1) Ground floor:

- While drawing, we also realized that the pantry was too narrow (thanks for your hints regarding that)
- The staircase is supposed to be a closed staircase -> Therefore we think that the hallway does not necessarily have to be very large because a closed staircase makes the space smaller. However, we are not entirely sure about this
- Kitchen: the induction hob should be positioned facing the dining table so that you don’t look at a wall while cooking. We also hope for better interaction with the children/guests this way. The exhaust will, of course, lead through the exterior wall to the outside. If you have other suggestions, we would be happy to receive any advice.
- Dryer, washing machine, and freezer find a place in the utility room.

2) Upper floor
- Due to the cardinal directions, we are reluctant to move the bedroom to the south
- The positions of the furnishings in the children’s rooms are not yet final. We only wanted to identify how much free space is left in the children's rooms by drawing it in.
- We are considering setting the dormer window flush with the outside facing north. This would allow us to create a kind of seating area. What do you think about that?
- We are still not completely happy with the bathroom planning. But this was initially only intended to estimate how much space we need.

Please feel free to give us further hints and ideas. We would be very happy
Yes, you are right, that is a monastery park.
