It is about a condominium that is listed for sale on online portals and is known to me. All documents were sent to me by email, including the latest statement of the homeowners' association.
It also includes the name and address of the owner who apparently last rented out the said apartment.
Is it common practice that this personal information may be sent to every interested party upon first contact (email)?
Common it may be, allowed I doubt (here I give my two cents as a non-moderator).
The seller normally agrees in the broker contract that ALL information about the property may be forwarded.
The seller yes, but not effectively also for third parties. And even consents that do exist, but were given "before the GDPR," I would regard with caution.
And of course the protocols are accessible with real names.
Inspection and the issuance of copies are not the same. Against the background of data protection, I would consider it appropriate that a notary inspects the documents in the concrete sales case, but the broker issues copies with personal data redacted.
