Should I approach another architect independently of this draft with our wishes and ideas, or should I directly contact a BU and have everything planned from scratch again?
A BU initially does the work "for free," but much less thoroughly than an architect. Another architect costs money, but could bring new impulses. Maybe it would also be an idea to try doing some drawing yourself. The proportions for individual components (stairs, kitchen, bathroom, etc.) can be easily taken from the current drawings, printed out, and then moved around on a new piece of paper at the same scale to try drawing. An architect can give ideas, but the finishing touches you have to do yourself or be satisfied with what you have.
In the end, there is always something to complain about from someone. Every decision has advantages and disadvantages. We can share our opinions with you, but whether you implement them or not is your choice.
Visiting a BU is certainly not a bad idea. Since you have a plot of land, they will definitely help you move forward and bring in new ideas. It also doesn’t hurt to visit various show homes.
