Thank you very much for your further comments and ideas

It is called "limitted designed by Jette Joop" on the homepage of the show house park. It is just very large and not comparable to 170 sqm.
However, they also installed a similar staircase in a 136 sqm house. You can find it if you search for "Maxime 315 mitteltreppe" on g...gle.

Thank you. Basically, these are exactly the points we also have in mind.
That is why we had the first draft made with a 90cm knee wall and a 45° roof. But it didn’t really impress us visually (too "classic").
Then we thought maybe increase the knee wall to 170cm (or similar) and forgo the expandable attic and possibly build an extension later.
But we also like the idea of two stories with an expandable attic very much.

Yes, not comparable. I was already wondering, since I know the Jettes. But yours has nothing to do with Jette, except for that crappy staircase.

No, in this size it fits better on the Jette life.

But then it loses too much of the Jette style and drifts towards Flair.

Later additions are the most expensive option.

Just google [Satteldach modern]. Depending on taste and probably budget, a gable roof can also be somewhat streamlined.

I would check with the building authority what is possible and then plan.

Above all, the shower on the upper floor fits poorly. It looks huge on the floor plan, but only after the first half does it have a height of 2 m, and 2 m height is still not ideal for a showerhead.

We will call the building authority today to make an appointment. Hopefully, the statements will become more concrete upon presenting the corresponding drafts.

Currently, our point of view would be:
- Either truly two-story or with a high knee wall (which can then legally also be considered two-story)
- Attic as expansion reserve
- Possibly forego a guest/office room on the ground floor to enlarge the utility room and the cloakroom
- Rethink the staircase

Thank you very much so far for the comments.

I have one concrete question directly:
If we were to replace the staircase with a straight staircase located on the left in the hallway, the kitchen door would have to move downwards. That would mean the lower side of the kitchen would no longer be usable for cabinets/work surfaces, or am I mistaken?
