Wonderful! - I would camp there instead of building.

Yes, we were lucky, but it was certainly factored in.
The path is drivable, which is why I would also like to keep it. It goes up to the border where there is currently no fence and from there to the neighbors. However, they still have their own driveway. This was once used as one property by the previous owner.

The problem is that the 15m rule also applies to carports ( ), otherwise I would immediately agree to position it as in your sketch.

I actually overlooked the south on your drawing because mentally I thought the bay window was on the west. Unfortunately, the conditions mean that from our point of view, the building can only be built lengthwise and not crosswise to the street.
Therefore, in the north and east on the upper floor are the parents' bedroom and bathroom.
And orientation of living/dining/cooking on the ground floor is to the south/west.

Thanks for the sketch, I also think that could work. Would you like to tell me what tool that is?

Of course, the orientation could be better discussed if the building plot were precisely dimensioned and preferably with the contour lines as well. I don't know how it is in other federal states, but in Saxony we have an online geo-service with contour lines. Very practical.

The program is ancient and is called Architekt 3D. It has its quirks (especially it calculates the areas incorrectly and cannot handle spiral staircases) but once you have gotten the hang of it, you can work with it quite fast.

Well, the carport is a bit tricky, I think. You would have to draw in the turning radius and so on.
