This is also how I understand why you would like to stick with your layout; I’m completely with you on that. We have a similar kitchen layout and are very happy with it.

One little idea on the side:
If you have to cover 10-20 cm there anyway and probably can’t have drawers or similar there (how do you solve that?), it might also be pretty cool to add a few more centimeters, put cushions on it, and create a small bench. But it could also get too tight, so you’d have to take a look.

Then why don't you post the current kitchen plan?

Thanks for the feedback! We actually already thought about that, but unfortunately there probably isn’t enough space for it...

The total wall length on the left is 290cm. We would need 2x 60cm for the tall cabinets (+ 2x 1.6cm countertop) and for the 3 cabinets in between 3x 50cm. That would be 273.2cm, leaving about 17cm remaining. Then we would also need 3-5cm countertop next to the tall cabinet on the left so the fridge door can open properly. That means on the right (window side) there is a maximum of 12-14cm possible depth for the cover paneling (more like 10-12cm with some buffer).

Therefore, we aimed to make the cover paneling as “thin” as possible (<10cm depth) so that the loss of space is marginal and it does not visually stand out so much.

Because it’s about the technical implementation of the water installation and I wanted to avoid the whole thing turning into a fundamental discussion about the kitchen layout :) And I would first have to plan it out in a kitchen configurator since until now we have always planned it with kitchen studios. But I basically agree with you that having a picture of the kitchen would probably make it easier to imagine the whole thing.

However, this should only be implemented together with the kitchen.

How far is the window from the wall?

Try drawing the furniture in the plan, a pencil is enough for that.

Can I imagine it roughly like this?

or like this You understand why I’m asking about the size of the window how high is the windowsill_

Exactly, thanks for the drawing!
Below I have attached pictures with the measurements. The distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the windowsill is 99cm. The countertop should have a working height of 92cm, so that should fit (in any case, our preferred solution is to only cover the pipes halfway up, as high as they go).
The lateral distance from the window to the left wall is 70cm, hence the limitation that the kitchen may have a maximum overlength of 9cm (60cm cabinet depth + 9cm overlength + 1cm buffer).
