Yes, I think the impression is correct, a displaced family who initially lived in barracks and then, years later, got a building plot to build a little house. Everything already very neat, material was already available at that time.

Today we made our purchase commitment, now the ball is in the seller’s court. She was surprised that apparently so many people are interested and want to view it and wants to wait for these viewing appointments.

Well then, let's hope it doesn't go into a bidding process or that we as "first" and a family with two children (plus from the region) are chosen.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that, at least not on a mobile phone. Could you please provide the location and key details of the listing, so one can take a look themselves?

You can also simply enter the ID in the search. However, there is not really much in the exposé and there are no pictures of the interior either.

Did the approach described by WilderSueden work, ypg?

I have to admit it feels extremely uncomfortable to be sitting here on "hot coals" and not really knowing how things will proceed or when we will receive feedback. Should I inform about the purchase offer again in writing via Immowelt or to the phone number (WhatsApp)?

Basically, I would have waited until Sunday to follow up, as the further viewings will probably take place over the weekend. But I am also not sure what the seller expects from this – actually, it can only be about more money / a potential bidding process, right? The lady does not conduct the viewings herself, but a neighbor does, which means she doesn't know the interested parties at all. Choosing based on sympathy would be difficult in that case. What do you think?

Why doesn’t the saleswoman handle it herself, and what makes the neighbor seem suitable to her? That she even wants to "(not) see" further interested parties in this context, I can only explain by the fact that the interested parties who came after you (perhaps just because of their number) have encouraged her to assume she is sitting on a gold mine. I would firmly burst her bubble: "Deals with me only in person at the on-site appointment, and if I want to bargain, I go to a bazaar – binding or not at all, and without Schmidt’s middleman from Schmidt to Schmidt; second present gladly, but no adjutant instead. We are talking about serious money here, and you are an interested party, not a clown. Be glad about every bad deal you let go on its way. Deals can be fun – but only if seriousness remains the main thing. The seriousness, not the Harry. I am willing to discuss the price with you within reasonable limits, but I won’t let you run circles around me!"

That's silly. If buyers are lining up, such an arrogant candidate is immediately out. And yes, of course the neighbor has the greatest interest that the Hottentots don't move in next door. The saleswoman has given him her trust, for whatever reason. If you make such a decision, you don't want to argue with the x-th interested buyer about it. Accept it or move on.
