On what basis were the preliminary building inquiry and the cost estimate made? - I do not consider the self-clicked plans suitable for this.

I would not press cars, riding lawn mowers, and junk into one shared building, otherwise you can’t reconcile "compact" and "not bulky".

I personally consider children’s bathrooms nonsense. On the one hand, cultural skills like personal hygiene need the opportunity to observe role models. And there I am old-fashioned and of the opinion that even test-tube-produced elective C-section children should know what their parents look like naked. Last but not least, it is always mom who cleans this bathroom.

If I were to think of a children’s bathroom, then in this house size as part of a later granny flat.

For a profession practiced at home with public access, I would primarily provide a separate building section for that, and rather connect this to the residential house than the garage.

By the way, I would never take garage doors in king size horizontal format, but like for single garages. Driving up and down the entire front wall basically for every little thing, just because the two doors have grown together, would never occur to me. Every time - especially nice during pollen season - six meters wide wind blows on the convertible, the motorcycles, and the pedal cars. All just to avoid a middle post which you wouldn’t hit even when totally drunk.

However, quite a few ladies of the house see it completely differently...

Does that mean your lady of the house doesn't punish such remarks with a month of car swapping?

It drives everything up to an SUV without any problems, but wants to have "space" preferably. Besides, we both like such a wide gate visually better.

A second bathroom has nothing to do with children not being allowed to see their parents. Having 5 people, some of different genders, in puberty, going through one bathroom almost at the same time does not have to happen.

I also prefer large garage doors. It's not due to my driving skills. I drive everything from the Mini to the Sprinter to the large pickup.

I also find wide gates more beautiful - I find many things very beautiful, which then suddenly lose their appeal when the price is revealed
