Exactly, that's the indicator I'm concerned with. Yes, thanks for the tip about the stone types according to the Energy Saving Ordinance, I've figured that out by now and that there are various DIN standards and the Energy Saving Ordinance 2016 and these are chosen in combination. Great! We're making progress!

You simply don't want to understand. Or do you also work for free? Just try calling a few architects. Let's see how they react.

I’ll try to summarize objectively why so many people are shaking their heads in disbelief here:

you sound like you want to "cast" an architect in free preliminary talks. It is legitimate and right that you don’t want to take the first one you find. Nevertheless, a realistic cost estimate from the architect requires a lot of information that YOU must provide in advance and HE must process. At the same time, the demand for architects is extremely high – they simply do not have to compete for contracts. So if you want precise forecasts, they come with an effort that no good architect provides for free. And the free forecasts you would get are correspondingly inaccurate.

You are gradually finding out here that your tender requires much more information than you thought. My recommendation: Read what you have to specify and then invest some money in preliminary inquiries with 2-3 architects. If you choose well here, the money is very well spent.

By the way: It should not surprise you that your expectation to tap the work of freelancers for free is seen here as an unsympathetic attitude. Where is such an expectation justified or even normal? My grandma would have said, “You just don’t do that, boy!”

I don’t like to do it, but the OP is somewhat right.

Of course, it makes sense to talk to the people. Whether architect or builder. He probably wants to clarify the HOW right now. However, the question about the shell construction costs or the stone is simply wrong, too early. Most people in the forum have dealt with many companies. Some even created Excel sheets for every comparison detail. We are probably among the exceptions (3 architects, 1 prefab provider -> in the end assigned the work ourselves without an architect and the house is standing )

You set the budget! Whether Kfw 70 or passive house as well. Architect means that in case of doubt there is no cost certainty (he has to tender himself first or you tender with his plans if you don’t want to pay him for these steps). Prefab house means that everything can be planned and priced from the beginning. But not everyone assigns individual trades themselves.

Well, whether architects will talk to you longer than 1 time 2 hours, you will have to find out yourself. In any case, you will learn something from every conversation – even if it is just that you should first exchange ideas about style and house type instead of immediately discussing the filling of the stone and that a "real" architect probably doesn’t just redraw your design neatly, but designs it himself. Drafting is done by the draftsmen, but they are not architects.

Well, be that as it may, you will still have to learn a lot despite everything and I also consider the chance very high that the conversations will not go the way you probably imagine them at the moment.

Dakorrrr! And that’s where the problem lies. In the casting, infosauger also wants the info he should provide again on the tablet. A good architect also wants to get an overall picture, like to see the development plan, etc. You also don’t just go to the workshop without a car for repair and say there’s a rattling sound, how much does it cost

Nonsense, no architect will talk for 2-3 hours for free when they could earn money or play golf. We are not at the family doctor.
