I also have sockets everywhere. Just when I want to copy a recorded movie from the receiver or whatever, WLAN can't keep up. And I think that even when my children are grown up, cable will still be faster with so much steel and concrete than through the air.

Right, our Fritzbox is located on the ground floor in the hallway, yet on the upper floor there is mostly no WLAN reception.

Wow, would you like to tell me what all that is?

Regarding the initial question:
- A double socket in every room (also consider attic and garage)
- Additional sockets in special situations (study, TV/Hi-Fi)
- Plan special points (WLAN access point, possibly IP camera, front door system/bell, ...)
- Use CAT7 cable

==> Of course, you don’t have to implement everything (a doorbell also works without a network connection), but it’s certainly worth thinking about.

Hi,
we have had empty conduits installed in almost every room. Later on, whatever one wants can be installed there if needed. Laying network cables and satellite cables in the children's rooms today, when they will be needed at the earliest in 10 years (daughter is 1.5 years old and child 2 is just being planned), seemed somehow silly to me.

Best regards,

Andreas

Pulling through is always such a thing... I prefer to have it already inside and not be annoyed later.

What should I tell you? There just isn't something connected everywhere at the moment. Behind every TV (including kitchen/bathroom) there is LAN, otherwise in almost every room including the garage and attic. It adds up...
