Hello,

I am still planning and need an opinion. How is it with the sliding door? I chose the lower one to loosen up the picture a bit so it doesn’t look so bulky. Or should I also take the higher one? I can’t decide.

Hello,

oh dear, maybe upfront, I don't want to criticize your planning, but I am happy to give you some tips!

Your planning is extremely restless. Also, the different heights of the wall cabinets just don't look right. Am I correct in assuming that the wall is 3.50m? To bring harmony in, I would suggest the following. From left to right, I would recommend:

*Base cabinets*
- Base cabinet 60 with 1 door
- Base cabinet 60 with 3 drawers
- Oven base cabinet
- Base cabinet 60 with 3 drawers
- Sink cabinet 50cm
- Dishwasher 45 with 50cm front
- on the left and right each a 5cm filler piece

*Wall cabinets*
- Sliding door cabinet 120
- Hood cabinet (if it is an Ikea under-cabinet hood and no gas cooktop is installed, the same height as the other wall cabinets is possible!)
- Wall cabinet for microwave
- Wall cabinet 50
- Wall cabinet 50
- again on the left and right each a 5cm filler piece

Try placing it like this in the planner and then let me know.

Regards

Nayla

PS: Regarding breaking it up, you could also add another color. For example, white high-gloss cabinets on top.

I agree with Nayla. However, I find base cabinets with doors unnecessary and always prefer drawers. Of course, you have to look at what kitchen utensils you have and plan accordingly. I would definitely not loosen up the wall cabinets with an empty piece on top. If you don't want to do it with a different color as Nayla suggested, you can also use lower doors on the 92 cm carcass and leave the rest below as an open compartment. The PERFEKT shelf is also suitable for creating openness. Take a look at the videos on the IKEA Germany YouTube channel. That might provide one or two more inspirations.

Please upload the complete floor plan. Would it perhaps make sense to have (at least 35 cm deep) base cabinets on another wall? In your plan, the base cabinets including the dishwasher fill exactly 335 cm. If you have exactly 335 cm of space, that will be too tight. If the outer cabinets have no gap from the wall, the drawers or the dishwasher door may scrape against the wall.

I have exactly 338cm of space. Floor plan is coming up. The pillar next to the line is a pantry, that used to be common. There is a radiator under the window. And there should also be a fridge-freezer combo. Oh man, all the things I want.

I would tear out the pantry cabinet. If it is a rental apartment, the landlord probably won’t really have anything against it, since you won’t be taking the kitchen with you when you move. (After moving, you usually have to add or replace cabinets, but there will no longer be Faktum carcasses.) Instead of the pantry cabinet, you could then install the oven at eye level in a tall cabinet or integrate the fridge-freezer combo into the row. The pictures with upper and lower cabinets in one alignment and continuous height look better than the first version. I don’t really like the stainless steel front of the dishwasher in the ensemble. Better to use a 50 cm front and adjust the rest accordingly.
