Let's calculate the craftsman's hour at €75 (easy to calculate), then you assume that craftsmen need about 410 hours = 51 man-days for the mentioned work. If the craftsman's hour is cheaper for you, the craftsmen would have even more time (€50 = 75 man-days). A completely utopian time for the "small jobs," the bank will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the EL, as it is not worth nearly that much.

We have budgeted 25k and also got it approved by the bank.

The savings have since been higher - although I wouldn't really call your listed items except for masonry and laying tiles big savings. I also consider 30k difficult...

Your father-in-law will be best able to judge whether you can manage that.

Non-load-bearing interior masonry certainly takes longer than half a day with two masons at the specified total size.

What some forget here: Many who do EL do not necessarily get the material prices the craftsman charges, but depending on negotiation skills are significantly below that, which of course results in further savings. So don't always just take the man-hours as a figure.

Can you tell me or write me a private message about what was included in the 25k?

Thanks
Goldi

Of course, one must not forget that the construction companies calculate the hours differently when you have that recalculated. Most of the time, they only remove entire trades, and then there’s so little left that it usually isn’t worth it. They won’t make a fuss over a few bricks, and the entire schedule could be thrown off because the ground floor ceiling can’t be installed due to your own work. The underfloor heating is the same; the tradesman will think you’re crazy if he’s supposed to take over your preparation. So much can go wrong there... That leaves painting and flooring (not tiles) work. They hardly ever come included anyway and can be done well in self-performance. One must not forget that 1-2 amateurs need 1-3 full weeks to completely wallpaper a house (depending on effort, skills, and material quality). Floor coverings add more time. For 50 sqm of laying laminate with foil underneath, with 3 people (1 experienced carpenter, 2 technically skilled), we needed 2 weekends, plus procuring the material and driving to the site. Extras in electrical work can be done super well in self-performance, e.g. network, TV, etc...

Both the construction contractor for the shell and the heating specialist have no objections.
My brother-in-law did the exact same thing with the same partners last year. Unfortunately, I haven't received any concrete numbers yet.

The ground floor ceiling can be installed without any problems - as mentioned, we are not building any load-bearing walls.
That means we will only start once the shell is completed.

Of course, we will also provide support for the electrical work wherever we can. Chiseling slots and laying network cables ourselves is, of course, not an issue.

For example, we will also install the wood stove ourselves.

By the way, I was at the bank this week and they approved the 30,000 without any proof.

So my original question has been answered.
