Yes, there is, but it costs money and the boxes for media conversion have to go somewhere.

I also don’t understand at all what is supposed to be bad about an in-wall cable duct. You can’t see it, it’s cheap and flexible. I would prefer that to installing sockets, even if that initially seems cleaner, to save the plug connection.

By the way, you only run exactly one HDMI cable to the TV, namely from the AVR. Then power and possibly network (better a separate player for that connected to the AVR) and that’s it.

Power, TV/SAT and network could also be placed behind the TV on the wall*. Only HDMI (or whatever is used in the future) needs to go from additional devices that stand "below" to the TV, ideally through an empty conduit/channel under the plaster.

*Note: The TV mount also still needs to be secured.

Ashes on my head. Only when I saw the picture did I understand that you meant an in-wall variant. Of course, that is really useful as an empty conduit. But I don't understand why it should only be one HDMI cable. Right now, three go into my TV. So from the cable receiver, the Blu-ray player, and the hi-fi system. What should change about that? I wouldn't really need network and power raised, but then it would surely be quite full in the conduit...

If the TE does not use a receiver with an HDMI output, he is correct that he needs these cables on the TV. Whether this is still up-to-date or reasonable is another matter.

Then I would need a 100mm empty conduit.

- BD player
- receiver
- PS4
- PS3
- X-Box
- X-Box360
- X-Box One
- Wii
- Wii U
- Switch
- PC
....

And I only have one HDMI cable and one optical cable running through the empty conduit.
