Metod / Dishwasher and Freezer

Hello everyone,

I am new here and actually a big Ikea fan. I have just assembled my second kitchen and overall everything went well. However, I now need to make two changes and since I can’t find any information about this on the Ikea site, I wanted to ask if anyone here can help me.

1) Dishwasher. Currently installed is a Skinande dishwasher. However, this is going back immediately due to the noise level and quality of workmanship. Luckily, Ikea is very accommodating about that. Alternatively, I would like to install this appliance (Siemens SX66P052EU). The dishwasher is a bit taller than usual (86.5 cm), but that should actually work with my working height (countertop starts at 89 cm). Do you have to watch out for anything special regarding the front panel, or is it similar to the Skinande with the corresponding drillings and screws in the front?

2) Freezer. Another freezer will be added to the kitchen, which is to be integrated into a Metod tall cabinet. I already have the tall cabinet, but haven’t assembled it yet. I would now order the freezer but am not sure about the dimensions. Ikea built-in appliances are all about 54x54 cm (width, depth), but this one (Bosch GIN81AC30) has niche dimensions (H x W x D): 177.5 cm x 56.0 cm x 55.0 cm. Does anyone know if that will work? These things are quite heavy and I want to avoid having to send anything back.

One more note: I installed a Siemens oven in a tall cabinet. Actually, the dimensions didn’t fit. The oven collided with the drawer underneath. I then had to drill my own holes to fasten the oven. It was all quite complicated but ultimately worked.

1) does not fit. You need a large capacity dishwasher with Vario hinge from Siemens, Bosch, Neff, or an XXL from Miele. No additional accessories are needed for the installation of an 80 x 60 front, except possibly a wooden disc from the hardware store, which must be glued into the hinge hole if a bracket is screwed there.

2) Should not be a problem. The devices from IKEA are narrower because they only have a pull-out door mechanism.

As far as I can see, the dishwashers with this hinge start at 800€. Is there anything around 600-650€?

Enter the models on idealo.de or something like that. The prices given by the manufacturer are not realistic market prices.

AEG also has such dishwashers, AEG belongs to Electrolux and the IKEA dishwashers come from Elux, with AEG this hinge is called Perfect Fit.

45 dB is too loud, I have a Bosch myself with 44 dB, I hardly hear it.

From Neff with 42db the most affordable. Also has Varioscharniere and Varioschubladen.
