Please don’t take it the wrong way, but even if I haven’t started a topic myself and am just reading along looking for a solution, I find nothing more exhausting in forums than when answers do not address the actual problem but instead start fundamental discussions that bring no new insights.

But if you insist, I will answer briefly here.

Yes.

In addition to the immense acquisition costs, there are ongoing costs for maintenance and filter replacement and especially possible health damage from dust, germs, mold spores,...from the pipes.

I don’t understand the comparison.
The company produces filter media of all kinds and also those for ventilation systems. Some colleagues from the research and development department, who design these filters, are of the opinion themselves that the recommended minimum intervals for system cleaning are by no means sufficient to prevent the system from becoming a dirt dispenser. One of them once told me that for this reason he always switches off the air conditioning when he stays in hotels.

But none of this has anything to do with the funding by the KfW and should, if at all, be discussed in another topic.

There is no obligation to have a ventilation system, that is nonsense.

In my view, the time required for manual ventilation has been exaggerated by you. Ventilating for 5 minutes in the morning and evening is completely sufficient. We have never had problems with mold or the like.

Yes, you have heat losses when ventilating. However, you also have them with the ventilation system. In practice, the energy savings are not even remotely as high as the manufacturers like to price them.

In summer, the ventilation system is often unusable. At night, the air exchange is too low and during the day you let the heat in.

I am not writing or claiming that either. It is just that a ventilation CONCEPT is mandatory during renovation to avoid construction and health damages. . I will lean out the window a bit: there must be some truth to it. Thanks for the answer Too bad that there is not always a real argument. Here again just phrases about hotels and costs. No one claimed that comfort is cheap. A mentioned maintenance in a private home does not exist anyway, and the filter price amounts to about +-5€ per year. On the contrary: if KfW demands it and does not get it, then there is no funding. Of course, one can downgrade. But then the requirements for the payment are not met. And if you think through the “argument” yourself (not just read, listen and close your eyes because the filter corporation is your wife’s AG) and you decide on a ventilation system and funding, then your question is answered.

What kind of ventilation systems are these, please? Our offers are currently between €9,000-11,000. I believe that the project is considered a new project when changing the efficiency house level or when the EE class is dropped and must be reapplied for. That is what our banker explained when we considered switching from 70 EE to 70. Because it is a new project, the 6-month blocking period no longer applies, but you are not entitled to the same conditions; the application will be treated as a new application.

Only the switch to a better efficiency house level is associated with a new application. See 4.9 BEG FAQ

In case of deterioration, the existing contract is reduced upon submission of the confirmation after completion; in case of dropping the EE class, both the grant rate and loan amount are reduced.

That is exactly what I wanted to know, and that’s also how it reads on the KfW website :)
It is also logical that the subsidy amount is then reduced.
What I still haven’t understood is how the loan amount is reduced upon submission of the confirmation AFTER completion. It has already been disbursed by then.
