Please don’t take it the wrong way, but even if I haven’t started a topic myself and am just reading along looking for a solution, I find nothing more exhausting in forums than when answers do not address the actual problem but instead start fundamental discussions that bring no new insights.
But if you insist, I will answer briefly here.
Yes.
In addition to the immense acquisition costs, there are ongoing costs for maintenance and filter replacement and especially possible health damage from dust, germs, mold spores,...from the pipes.
I don’t understand the comparison.
The company produces filter media of all kinds and also those for ventilation systems. Some colleagues from the research and development department, who design these filters, are of the opinion themselves that the recommended minimum intervals for system cleaning are by no means sufficient to prevent the system from becoming a dirt dispenser. One of them once told me that for this reason he always switches off the air conditioning when he stays in hotels.
But none of this has anything to do with the funding by the KfW and should, if at all, be discussed in another topic.

How do they ventilate? Manually?

what would those be?

Is it such that when you work in manufacturing, you know what it does to you? I’m currently looking for a comparison. If your wife worked at Berentzen or Holsten, would she know what my liver looks like? I can’t imagine that!
