Hi, so creating a parking space is not the problem. However, he said that this parking space must be accessed via the already developed driveway. (Which would be possible but very inconvenient, since you would have to reverse out again and at least one already existing parking space could not be used, otherwise the way would be blocked. The reason given by the representative from the civil engineering office was that the common good takes precedence and lowering the curb would minimize public parking space. Even when I pointed out that there is no sidewalk there at all (one-sided sidewalk) and that it would be positive for the residents because two cars would disappear from public parking spaces, there was no concession. However, I only received this rejection by phone – so without an application – but I have now submitted the application anyway in order to challenge it.)

And what does building a garage change about this argument? Many of your neighbors have two driveways, some even without a second garage. Hard to imagine that the city would get away with that. Keep us updated.

If the garage has a building permit, it naturally needs an access road. That is the argument. Of course, I would be grateful for tips I will keep you updated

Why? Does a parking garage with 500 parking spaces have about 500 entrances? Just maneuver around in your own yard. Still strange, the whole thing

Thank you for your competent contribution! If you had read everything, you would know that this would only be a compromise and one parking space would be lost. Since this would fall victim to the access road. You have already written 3844 posts in this forum. I really, really hope that in the other 3843 posts you have tried to help other members and did not also make such silly comparisons that do not help anyone. I really have to smile right now at how one can compare an approximately 5m long driveway for an approximately 25m2 private garage yard with a public, profit-oriented parking garage with 500 parking spaces.

You can figure that out yourself.

Good luck.
