Hello,

I would like to install a high-quality refrigerator in my Metod kitchen, and I have the Liebherr ICBP 3256 in mind, but I haven't ordered it yet. For the kitchen front, I have the handleless VOXTORP, and the tall cabinet is 220 cm.

Since the Voxtorp door is not available larger than 120 cm, and the cooling section of the Liebherr requires a door slightly larger than 122 cm, I would need to use a 140 cm door. I would have to connect a 100 cm door with a 40 cm door, roughly like how two fronts are connected with the Utrusta rail for the sink cabinet drawer, for example.

My question is: is there anything I need to pay attention to? The Utrusta rail is about 7 mm thick; would that still work with a refrigerator with fixed-door technology? Or is it better to use a thinner rail like the one included with Ersättare, which is 4 mm thick? Or would it be better to use an even thinner perforated plate from the hardware store?

Has anyone had experience with this? Or would it be better to buy a refrigerator that only requires a 120 cm door for the cooling section? Liebherr already has plenty of models, but unfortunately none with A .

Thanks in advance and best regards, Thomas

Hello,
ICNP 3356 Premium NoFrost has A and a smaller door.

Thank you, Ikea expert. Unfortunately, this fridge does not have Biofresh, one of the main reasons why I want to buy Liebherr.

I have now looked at the hardware store, there are furniture connectors that are 2.5 mm thick, so it should work in any case.

If there are problems with the assembly, have the fronts dowelled.

Hello,

I would like to give an answer here myself, maybe it will help others as well. However, I asked the question back in the IKEA-Fans.de days.

I have now successfully installed the successor model ICBP3266 in my Ikea Voxtorp kitchen. There is a special connector available from Liebherr customer service for this, with which I connected a 1m door with a 40cm door (on top) and then installed this overall 140cm high door without any problems (however, I had to drill a hole in the connector myself to avoid accidentally drilling into the handle recess area of Voxtorp, so be very careful).

I installed the refrigerator in the 220cm cabinet so that the area between the two refrigerator doors (fresh and freezer compartments) is at countertop height, which is perfect for opening. However, this means the refrigerator is installed relatively high, but for me that is not a problem. On the contrary, all important things are now within ideal height to reach without bending down. There is even space under the refrigerator for a 20cm drawer, which is very practical.
