Hello,
I would like to install a high-quality refrigerator in my Metod kitchen, and I have the Liebherr ICBP 3256 in mind, but I haven't ordered it yet. For the kitchen front, I have the handleless VOXTORP, and the tall cabinet is 220 cm.
Since the Voxtorp door is not available larger than 120 cm, and the cooling section of the Liebherr requires a door slightly larger than 122 cm, I would need to use a 140 cm door. I would have to connect a 100 cm door with a 40 cm door, roughly like how two fronts are connected with the Utrusta rail for the sink cabinet drawer, for example.
My question is: is there anything I need to pay attention to? The Utrusta rail is about 7 mm thick; would that still work with a refrigerator with fixed-door technology? Or is it better to use a thinner rail like the one included with Ersättare, which is 4 mm thick? Or would it be better to use an even thinner perforated plate from the hardware store?
Has anyone had experience with this? Or would it be better to buy a refrigerator that only requires a 120 cm door for the cooling section? Liebherr already has plenty of models, but unfortunately none with A .
Thanks in advance and best regards, Thomas
