At the end, a "controlled door slit ventilation" will also be charged...

That one is really good! Unfortunately, you only notice some things after living in the house for a while. I noticed the "door gap ventilation" once while vacuuming. Suddenly I thought "where is that light coming from" and looked, seeing that you can see the light between the cylinder and the door. Today, when looking more closely again, I noticed that it is like that all around the half-cylinder lock. My husband said earlier, "We need to check other locks." We can hardly go into houses and ask if we can look from the inside to the outside to see if a gap between the cylinder and the door can be seen.

Fortunately, you have a 5-year warranty for that. The unanimous opinion, without anyone having seen it live, is likely that there is a defect here which you must clearly assert.

I believe we only have 4 years. But they won’t be over for another 3 years. That’s why you really have to keep on top of it, because nothing is really happening at the moment. Only a painter was here and fixed some things. The man was really good. We saw his list and there were quite a few items on the order list / defect list that concern us, but for everything else it said "Kundendienst". The man was here a few weeks ago. My husband sent another email to the site manager today asking how the "Kundendienst" works now. Above all, we should have the "new defects" added to the list quickly, otherwise it will take a long time again.

So we have 2 rubber sealing layers on our door. A soft one on the door itself - which I can press in a little from the inside with my finger when the door is closed - and a hard one on the outside on the frame - which I cannot press in.

You think?

Quickly check your contract to see what is stated there about the limitation period for warranty defects and whether the VOB actually applies.

By the way, I would advise your husband and you to formulate a defect notice with a deadline and send it to your contracting party. Emails do not have the same weight - in the worst case - ... they "can" get lost

Rhenish greetings
