The plots were divided again because the city kept changing the plans for the new development area over the course of 5 years. Regarding the size: Our direct neighbors have roughly the same plot dimensions and also built a semi-detached house. On the ground floor, there is a living room, kitchen, guest WC, and a half-turned U-shaped staircase leading upstairs. Upstairs, there are 3 rooms and the main bathroom. In total, just under 105 sqm. Nothing huge, but really very well done, I must say. You can do it that way. We initially considered it too, but I need a separate office for my home office. We ultimately decided on the single-family house next door. For 150 sqm, you definitely need at least 3 floors given the plot size. With setback areas, etc., it won’t be possible otherwise. edit: So yes, totally doable if you don’t need an office or something similar. Upstairs would be the bedroom + 2 children's rooms.
