Current status according to unify for us: 42 devices online (about 50% of them via WLAN)

And what kind of devices are these all supposed to be, if I may ask? I cannot imagine such a number.

probably 10 Dash buttons from Amazon, no kidding we know that Steffen has invested a lot of money. Therefore, I guess part home automation including a toilet that reminds you that the glasses are still upstairs...

Seriously. For any decent computer scientist, 42 is exactly the right number of devices.
And seriously: three, four rooms with a Sonos system and the first 10 devices are on the network. Then 4 people makes 5-6 mobile phones. Four "landline" phones, two, three tablets, two TVs and a game console. The PC and NAS are running anyway, the five cameras and the intercom systems on every floor also need connection.
So I'm already over 30 end devices without any automation. So it is possible.
Admittedly - it is (still) not the average household.

I never said it wasn't possible. I didn't think of Sonos and such. When it comes to phones, it can be debated; I don't think IP phones are used in private households, as DECT handsets are more likely. But it is not excluded either.
