That's totally exaggerated... back in the day children listened to CDs... even earlier cassettes and today tonibox... my God... what's so bad about that? I can understand criticism of an iPad at a young age much more clearly!

Sure. What is implied here or even explicitly stated is not acceptable to me:

1. Leaving babies or toddlers alone with the Tonibox
2. Audiobook for falling asleep
3. Playing sounds to keep them quiet

Of course, this is just my personal opinion. It may be exemplary, but there have to be bad parents as well.

Almost immediately. As a baby, you quickly switched the lullaby music (unless you use it on the baby monitor). After that, the kids figure out how to operate the thing very quickly. A friend's daughter has been using it since she could sit. Then she plays her children's songs. Children's headphones for it...

Hm. When I was little (although definitely older than two, I do remember) I wanted Bibi Blocksberg to fall asleep. Constantly. No reading aloud. It came from the Discman with headphones, I was allowed exactly one episode.

Why some other box is worse now, I don't know. I could operate the Discman myself. It was limited and when it was over, it was gone.

If that doesn't happen with these boxes, it's not the boxes' fault... That an inventor makes a fat profit: whatever!

I don't understand why things like coffee preparation, which can be consciously used to slow down the silly everyday life, should be optimized with computer support. Let me know if I start to sound like Karsten...

You could use the time saved to paint a mandala.
