Karlby Walnut Worktop

Hello everyone,
We are planning to equip our new Ikea kitchen with a Karlby countertop in walnut. Could you please share your experiences regarding durability and quality?
So far, we have a Resopal countertop, which is very easy to maintain and robust. Now I am worried that the wooden countertop will look worn out quickly. What do you think?

Hello, when I think about the stubborn stain that some raspberry juice left recently on my oiled wooden cutting board, I definitely don’t want a countertop with wood veneer. Compared to moisture, the board is definitely more sensitive than one coated with HPL.

Thank you for the assessment. We would prefer a plastic-coated board after all. Unfortunately, the Ikea assembly service does not cut "foreign" boards.
