Is a basement in a single-family house useful or rather too expensive?

Many clinics have staff housing, but of course that is not a real solution. My hairdresser moved back to Greece last year. In my opinion, many vocational training professions in the Munich area already lead with high probability to old-age poverty. Private retirement provision is not an option for many.

Sorry guys, once again: You are not forced to live and work in Munich. A hairdresser can also work somewhere else and a nurse can also apply elsewhere.

I also cannot afford a single-family house right in the middle of Cologne or Düsseldorf; I just have to live with that. So I look for cheaper (not cheap) alternatives. If life in Munich is too expensive for me, I simply have to look for cheaper alternatives.

I am happy to say it again: The purchase price level has reached terrible dimensions, especially in Munich and its surroundings. But no one is forcing you to live exactly there.

Aside from the fact that for many there is still something like a home with family where they like to stay, Munich also needs hairdressers and nurses, not just the other way around. I myself am moving away, yet I understand these people.

I basically agree with that. But if you want to still be able to get your hair cut in Munich or have a paramedic come in an emergency, they cannot be driven endlessly further away.

But finally the IMF has done what the German institutions probably do not do out of self-interest: They have certified a bubble in some German major cities, above all Munich. Munich real estate is traded on average 46% above real value.

The problem is that construction and purchases continue anyway. Nothing will come back quickly as long as the economy is strong. Regarding hairdressers, I can only say the salary is shameful, but a friend said the tips are very good depending on the shop. Well, there will also be differences between Saxony and Bavaria. Services are increasingly being pushed towards the USA. There the tip is necessary.

In the construction areas in our immediate vicinity with approximately 150 building plots, exactly 2 households have built with a basement.
