Depends on whose fiber optic cable it is. For us, it was Telekom, so €800 done. Whether TV is via Telekom/Internet is a whole different topic. There’s a long thread about that.
Vodafone is not allowed to use Telekom’s fiber optic cable :) they lay their own and if not already present, that costs. For us, the offer was €11k
So it depends on whether the city/municipality in this new development area has had both major companies (Telekom and Vodafone) install cables or just Telekom?
No, it depends on whether the project is funded by the federal government, which is why the connection is usually free of charge. By the way, Open Access will sooner or later also become an issue, so that not every provider has to lay its own cable.
I would first ask the providers what is actually available or maybe planned. The rest depends on that. Every provider (with their own network) has a construction client department.
Good, thanks for this tip on how to proceed. Did I forget other providers for Internet+TV at Vodafone and Telekom? No, right? ;) Or could it also be possible that 1&1 or o2 are allowed to run the fiber optic connection up to my house?
