Ikea Metod kitchen front Bodbyn sold out?

For months, the kitchen fronts Bodbyn (gray) for Metod have not been available for purchase either in-store or online. I don’t understand anymore; the fronts are in the current catalog and are being advertised for sale in the store (sample kitchen, front selection on the wall, etc.). Meanwhile, I have been waiting for 6 months already, and no one could tell me when the fronts will be back in stock. Where does this article even come from???

I am currently planning a new kitchen myself, and the BODBYN fronts are supposed to be included, but in light color.
Our Ikea has a sign saying: "Currently 8 weeks delivery time." But we have not yet asked for a specific delivery time when purchasing.

I could easily live with 8 weeks, but 6 months?? :eek:

By the way, production takes place, among other places, in Lithuania and Belarus. ;)

We bought our kitchen with Bodbyn light fronts at Ikea Bratislava last November. These were mostly in stock there, we then had to wait 1 week for a few fronts.

I have also been waiting here in France for 3 months for the opportunity to buy/order the Bodbyn kitchen in gray. I am also quite surprised by Ikea's misinformation tactics. No official statement, no alternatives. Since the problem has existed for months now, the number of dissatisfied customers will also steadily grow - not very much in Ikea's interest, I think. It's a pity that my first forum post is so negative - but here in France there are no alternatives in the same price range. And: my wife is breathing down my neck :(

It would be nice if someone from the official side would finally show some initiative and issue a statement. Ultimately, the cards will be reshuffled with the new catalog at the latest - and hopefully alternatives will be offered. For me and many customers, that will be too late and we will look elsewhere; but Ikea still makes enough money, right?

Hello, I think you are referring to the statement about the lifetime exchange right - publicized in Germany. However, this does not exist here in France and I also don't think that I can completely change fronts in Germany either. Even IKEA cannot afford that. MacKai
