Ikea Metod + BEHJÄLPLIG + Bosch Grundstück = Problem

Hm, it really seems that it can no longer be installed. The assembly instructions from Bosch specify an allowable front weight of 2.5 - 8.5 kg. If you mill something away, there is an increased risk of moisture damage.

Regarding the problem that the fitting jumps off the pins, I also think that everything must lie exactly on a rotational axis. That means the pins must be mounted precisely, the adjacent cabinets must be exactly parallel and aligned, and the dishwasher must also be completely parallel to the cabinets.

The rotating axis is correct. The problem with the door popping out doesn’t happen often. But every now and then. It also depends on how and where you grab the flap or the front and how fast and hard you pull it up.

I’ve now unscrewed VÅGLIG from the dishwasher front. According to our scale, it weighs 1kg.

I also dismantled the entire rest and put it on the scale. The complete front (without VÅGLIG) with all the attached parts hanging on the flap weighs exactly 8.8kg.

According to the manufacturer, the whole thing is designed for 8.5kg.

Without VÅGLIG it has gotten a bit better. But it’s still not really great. If the flap falls down, it really shakes the dishwasher. And since it is only fixed on the sides with one screw, I see myself replacing this with a fine-thread screw and a nut on the other side of the cabinet so that nothing rips out anymore.

I will probably call Bosch again tomorrow...

Does anyone know in advance if these bands in the dishwasher can be installed by yourself? Strangely enough, I couldn’t even find them in Bosch’s spare parts list...

Hinges are also referred to as (door) bands. The door hinges listed hinges are blue. In the spare parts shop, probably only the standard installed parts are displayed.

On my screen it looks more like color than blued steel. If no special tools are needed, just try to install the other hinges. The door is a relatively long lever arm. I can well imagine that the 400 g make a difference.
