Hello,
I am new here and hope you can help us solve a problem with our good old Faktum kitchen!?
Our kitchen is now about 12 years old. The fronts are the antique fronts Fagerum, which were only available for a short time back then (if we had known...). The doors are "framed" with trim strips, so the dimensions differ from the actual fronts – also from the successor Fagerland. You can no longer get the fronts from the after-sales service and because of the special dimensions, we cannot switch to other fronts.
Unfortunately, two of our fronts are now very scratched. All research did not help – there is no replacement front available.
Now the idea is to sand the front and paint it clear over. Does anyone know which lacquer Ikea used for the fronts or whether this reworking would be possible? Alternatively, we considered repainting all fronts. Has anyone had experience with this? These are solid lacquered doors after all.
We would be VERY grateful for tips!
