Assumption: the holiday apartment has a nice view ...

- Dining table possibly as a bench (takes up less space) in the light in the bay window
- Positioning a sofa facing the window
- WC moved to enlarge the bathroom (if possible)
Especially in a holiday apartment, I would try to arrange the furniture that is "lived on" (dining/play table, sofa, armchair) in a way that allows plenty of daylight/view outside. There are also days with bad weather on vacation, when you sit at the table during the day or read a book on the sofa, etc. The orientation towards the TV (which hopefully does not run all day) is less important for the living area than, for example, the sofa at home, which is usually used more in the evening.
However, if the view from the apartment's windows is not really nice, then I would do it differently ...
