Idea generation basement

I would distribute the minimum rooms on the basement and ground floor and reserve the attic as backup.

[EG] Open plan storage room WC Office
[DG] Storage room and will later become children's floor if necessary

I find bedrooms difficult when the children are still small. That's why it's almost out of the question for me. Unless someone has good arguments for it.

Haydee, what do you mean by wasting living space, or as few square meters as necessary?

Every square meter costs. On flat land you would never plan with a granny flat. Why now?

Parents in the basement and toddler in the attic does not work. I'm with you on that.
That's why I would plan at least one child's room in the basement.

You would probably plan a flat plot as follows:
Ground floor: building services, entrance, cloakroom, WC, office, common room
Upper floor: parents, 2-3 children's rooms, bathroom, possibly laundry

You are now distributing exactly these rooms over basement/ground floor/attic.

Our original idea was something similar. We would have simply taken the opportunity to rent it out as a granny flat as long as we don't necessarily need the space for the children. If there is already a bathroom, heating, and so on, it's not a big step.
