How to secure garage roof / roof against burglary?

Unfortunately, I am overly cautious about the topic of burglaries after a serious incident in the family.

To the left of the house is our garage, which could easily be climbed using a small ladder. From the roof of the garage, the house roof could also be reached quite easily. Especially one of the children's rooms could seem very inviting with the window open there. The thought does not please me at all. However, with some skill, one could also quickly stand on the balcony in front of our bedroom through the window.

Demolishing the garage is out of the question :) but how could it be secured here?
