Energetically: a square has the largest floor area and at the same time the smallest building envelope. (This is not so decisive here). But the narrower one side is/gets (aspect ratio), the more difficult the floor plan design becomes. With 8.25 m you have about 7.5 m internal dimension, so that two 4 m rooms cannot be created!

But in my opinion, not specifically these, rather fundamentally to "lock on" to certain proportions (as the majority of the followers of the square fetish do). Probably the most widespread amateur planner mistake overall is to skip the preliminary design phase without a spatial program and to start right away in third gear (design scale). Here, moreover – since we do not know the building envelope – there is at least no necessity from the plot dimensions to "specify" certain measurements.

Front door opening outwards, cloakroom?, stairway entry, guest toilet access, guest toilet depth, kitchen layout, living area, children's room way too small without cabinets and so on and so forth...

Okay, understandable. Although I know a front door opening outwards from Scandinavia and do not share the concerns in that regard. Just like with 12-15 sqm large children's rooms. The whole thing also has to remain affordable for me. The objects drawn are not planned by me like that. That is exemplary and not a "final plan". Then we must have misunderstood each other.

If you want really good input for your floor plan, you should fill out the questionnaire. It is very worthwhile! At first glance, the ground floor looks like someone just wants to plan the space no matter what to reach a certain floor area.
