Unfortunately, we do not get such prices. But still I wonder how a single household can get by with that, since it still has certain things like a refrigerator, lighting, etc. We need about 3,500 kWh for two people and I wouldn't know where I could save a lot. The average resident probably lives in a rental apartment where electricity consumption is somewhat lower.

Hehe, then I'll come with the next average. 1,300 kWh per person per year is the average. And an apartment here is a single apartment of an elderly lady. Where else should electricity be consumed a lot – LED TV doesn't use much nowadays, all lamps are LED. Then there are only A++++ refrigerator, A++++ freezer, cooking on an A++++ stove/oven. And if you need 3,500 kWh for two people, that's quite okay. For three people, it wouldn’t increase much either, since the base consumption doesn't change significantly.

Single apartment ... until the beginning of 2023 still about 2200 kWh/year, after reducing the Schwibbögen to LED and more conscious use of electricity supported by my balcony power plant I now have just under 2000 kWh/year (including self-produced electricity). And that with home office using 1.5 computers (2nd computer not constantly) and 2 monitors.

However, it is a rental apartment, so heating electricity is billed via the utility cost statement, and that is around 1800 kWh for 5 rental units, 350 sqm, and gas heating.

There are three of us using 2700 kWh in a semi-detached house, so heating and outdoor lighting are also included. The washing machine and dryer are constantly running because of a small child.

I have now received an official hearing form according to some administrative law, where I have to justify my low water consumption. 33cbm in a single-family house, one person is permanently there, plus two kids half the time. During the day no one is there, school/work. The electricity provider has at least not complained yet about the previous 1000kWh per year.

You do not have to justify yourself. It is only meant to prevent you from, for example, using water from your own well and discharging it into the wastewater system.
