Hello Nörgli,
True......I always find that a challenge too.
Sure, then 2 small ones are a pain........ you need 2x drawers and those are “expensive.”
2x 40x60 cost 94 euros. Veddinge doors 18 euros
1x 80x60 costs 55 euros. VEDDINGE door 13 euros.
That makes 44 euros more expensive plus the carcass was something with 17 euros as well.
And still you don’t have the large drawer.
True, somehow in the middle between 2 glass cabinets........ but if there are OPEN cabinets next to them,
then that doesn’t work. It would work well, but for me, for example, that wouldn’t be right either.
Well then maybe open would be something anyway. Or for example, on the wall cabinets only the 60-wide back panel, then there is still air above and not so much wall covered.
Bye Sabine
Actually, some of these things correspond to my planning, and even if you “only” save 20 euros, a) that’s one more piece of interior furnishing ( ) and b) I’m not a fan of throwing away unused components. Replacing walls and floors would also work out pretty much exactly in my case.

For example with the bench: here I would want an 80-wide drawer, and that is not planned as such. That’s why this tinkering.

And the HÖRDA shelves are nicer, but for me, they don’t match the rest of the building. The fixed shelf spacing doesn’t appeal to me either. (Especially since I’d probably have it next to an equally open cabinet and the differently thick walls would stand out even more.)

I’ll think about your suggestions with the back panels again. Since I use drawers, I might not visit any at all, and the cabinets on the outside wall should remain free at the back anyway against mold.
