With us, outbuildings up to 50 sqm and 9 meters of boundary construction are possible without approval. The garage is also to be built as boundary construction without approval. Allegedly, the development plan still applies.

As a rule, the building authorities receive a notification from the owner that a garage is being built and that is sufficient.

Otherwise, there are also garage builders who offer gable roofs as a structure :)

Under the cautiously formulated assumption that I interpret this correctly, garden sheds up to 10 m² floor area and garages/carports up to 50 m² per property are completely procedure-free, i.e., they are not subject to the requirements of the development plan, unless the development plan explicitly states that it overrides the aforementioned regulation.

Nevertheless, I would recommend consulting a local architect; they can answer that quickly for you.
