How long is a development plan valid?

The building authority has not heard anything about it yet; they were surprised that so many have already built FD garages there. Now it's a matter of waiting to see if they get into trouble and then maybe follow suit?!

That's the question... you can hardly rely on an oral statement from the building authority later on. And whether they will give you something in writing?

The question is what impact it will have on future building applications, both internally and for the applicants. Somebody in the office did approve the garage roofs after all ;) No - I have never experienced that :eek: Rhineland regards

So if I understand correctly, adjacent garages should be designed similarly, which usually means that garage A is not three meters away from the street with a flat roof and garage B, which stands right next to it, has a gable roof and is five meters away from the street.

No, I think they just placed the garages there without permission... I need to ask around. I would have also just built a flat roof out of ignorance... thought the regulation in the development plan only applies to the main buildings.

I would also ask how the others have arranged it. In the application, you could then possibly justify your garage roof design with the already existing FD garages. ;)

In this way, we were ultimately allowed to build our roof shape as well. There were already two on site. :D

What is basically allowed with a flat roof then? So according to the development plan, do I also have to build a garden shed with a pitched roof for the lawnmower? Or where is the line drawn there?
