How high does the house rise - how high to pile up earth (cellar depth low)?

Phew, that looks pretty extreme. I would plan the terrace as a balcony and the front door with stairs. That is quite common here (steep slope). The other alternative is large retaining walls, but they are not always allowed everywhere and cost a lot.

I just thought the same as the first option. You would just have to see if the balcony would be high enough so that you can at least stand underneath it. Otherwise, probably pile up there, build walls around it (consider water drainage), and keep the rest at the remaining level. You probably can hardly avoid having stairs at the front door, since there’s hardly any land left on the side and you can’t just direct water to the neighbor as you please. So you also have to make sure it’s properly drained.

How did your house planner imagine the terrain layout? He must have drawn something in his plans.

Yes, there are no restrictions on embankments and the like in the development plan. Here is the site plan (the 8.18 m is marked by me): How should that work? Of course we signed off on the plans; but in the drawing you are naturally not really aware of the extent...

A terrace as a balcony would mean that we would have a ground-level garden, but there would be no access to the garden from the house except through the front door. Or do you mean the balcony would be equipped with stairs leading from the balcony down to the garden?

Furthermore, the small single-leaf terrace door on the narrow side of the house would be out of place, because I don't think you can build a balcony so large and around the corner that it includes both the double-leaf terrace door on the wide side of the house and the single-leaf terrace door on the narrow side.

Disadvantage of the balcony solution: we couldn’t plan the balcony too large, because then the space underneath the balcony would be useless. There would be hardly 2 meters of height. And a small balcony is not what we imagine – that’s more suitable for a condominium...
