Either in the dryer or on the drying rack. Both are in the utility room, which fortunately offers enough space with 15 sqm.

If you have relatively little space for drying laundry, you can look for a drying lift. I don't have experience with it, but I find it an interesting alternative to the drying rack in a small utility room.

Don't you ultimately dry your laundry with energy anyway?

I just looked on Google what a current dryer consumes.
It is estimated at €56/year (235 kWh and 24 cents/kWh). For that money, you definitely don’t need a large drying room in the basement. If it is perhaps powered by your own photovoltaic system, it gets even cheaper.

Mainly in the dryer; I no longer want to do without the cozy towels. I hang sweaters and delicate clothes on the drying rack over the bathtub.

On summer days and provided I have time, on the rotary clothesline in the garden (excl. towels).

Rhenish greetings

With us, everything goes in the dryer except for delicate items. And the things that need to be ironed, I do, yes indeed. It totally relaxes me.

Most items go into the dryer. In the house, a second small utility room on the upper floor is planned for the washing machine and dryer, right where the laundry is primarily changed or put in the closet after washing.

We are four people (35, 32, 4 & 1.5) We do not have a dryer, currently drying on two drying racks in the communal laundry room (very poor ventilation) We have already had the rack in the apartment as well, but it always looks untidy no matter where it is placed. In summer, the rack is sometimes on the balcony, but you always have to be careful, otherwise the laundry fades if it hangs a little too long There is no dryer in our own house for now, we hang the laundry in the boiler room.
