I currently dry my laundry in the hallway on the drying rack. Most of the time, I don't even put the laundry away in the closet but take the clothes to wear directly from the drying rack. Just before nothing is left hanging, I do the laundry, then put on the rest from the drying rack, hang up wet laundry, and start over again. A perfect cycle

The point was also on the tip of my tongue, but it only applies during the heating period. At all other times, the necessary heat comes free of charge (like drying outdoors). A controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery (and moisture recovery) is likely to practically balance the equation.

Our laundry hangs under the covered multifunctional area, commonly also known as [Carport].....yes, the car is usually parked in front of the covered multifunctional area

Since I am too lazy to hang things up and don't feel like constantly removing cat hair (3 long-haired tigers), everything goes in the dryer. I love it. Without it, I would be desperate when I take my child out of the wet bed after the nap. He likes to cuddle with his milk bottle. Since my mother (a convinced fresh-air hanger) saw how quickly it works in the dryer, she also got one.

In our current rental apartment, the laundry is washed in the kitchen and dried in the living room. I find that so annoying and unpleasant. When the house goes into planning, a dryer is actually not planned. A utility room is intended on the upper floor where on one side there will be a washing machine (possibly slightly raised), cabinets for cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaner, and maybe a few base cabinets, and on the other side, there should be fixed installed lines stretched from wall to wall. Two of them, also at a somewhat higher height for long items like bedding and sheets. I like hard towels and don’t like wearing clothes from the dryer; the only exception would be for bedding or if you need something quickly and forgot to wash it. Anyway, I never want to see a drying rack again (except maybe outside in nice weather).

Old building, fully basemented - so drying takes place in the basement. Ventilation is also no problem in winter.
