Here, too, I think it often depends on user behavior and the initial situation.
In summer, if possible, drying is done in the garden on the rotary dryer or the dryer is used for quick items. From a household of 4 people with toddlers, I think purely drying on lines, etc., is not effective. In my opinion, drying in the basement during the winter months would take too long. We do both and depending on the need, currently in a 5-person household with dryer and line. But I would be reluctant to do without the dryer.
