This is first and foremost about the house placement. The floor plan is just a placeholder anyway.

There are no details about the development plan, drainage, hillside location, etc. You can only fish in murky waters here.

I can't really help you further because I would choose a different floor plan for the plot. Planning the plot, orientation, and house separately seems generally not so favorable to me. Maybe still helpful:
[*]Photovoltaics as an east-west system for private houses are at least as good as a pure south-facing system. You have slightly less peak yield but more sun hours for your own consumption. You can disregard this aspect when positioning the house. [*]In practice, it makes sense to have several living areas on the plot — sunny and sun-protected. Besides nice terrace evenings (which I also preferably think of), living with children provides plenty of reasons to be in the garden during the day and to find a good place there. [*]Privacy screening can be achieved both through building placement and garden design — the building therefore does not necessarily have to be the only "block" against views. [*]It is super practical to have a place to settle down right in front of the front door. [*]Garden is all around the house and not only on one side. Well-designed narrow spaces are also appealing and usable. [*]Children benefit much more from natural light in their rooms than parents do from a great location of their bedroom. (Should there be a trade-off...)

Hi,
I just stopped by the builder I trust – the placement will be with the front door on the east side. According to him, all the connections come in there – so it fits there and with the sun orientation best.
He is now sending the whole thing to the architect again, and they will take a closer look and make minor changes to the floor plan. They will also look at the staircase again – I had that in mind before as well – it’s a "work in progress" floor plan, which is not up for debate here.
Thanks for your numerous and helpful replies – from my side, the topic can be closed – the "fundamental decision" on the placement is made :)

Can you enlighten us? Also the floor plans? You did see that there were quite a few things amiss.

Um, it’s all in the above-mentioned post. As said, the floor plan is not up for debate here and I don’t want to discuss it on the Internet either :D

Actually, "the slap that has never hurt anyone" really belongs in grandfather's pedagogical mothball chest, but here in the forum - mainly concerning floor plans - it really exists. Problem areas (to trip over, duck your head, etc.) typically occur even more often when modifying drawer floor plans than with fresh (also layman) own developments.
