: We definitely keep the option open to postpone the house construction by about 2 years. A few compromises are okay for us. Our current self-designed floor plan with the 142 sqm living space is perfectly fine for us – or rather, we are still considering another floor plan that I found in an architect book. I just cannot believe the construction price, even when I now add about 10% based on the BKI cost index (construction year: 2012), I still find the building costs very low. Well, different topic ;)
But you are absolutely right, we will not make significantly larger compromises (apart from the ones mentioned). Otherwise, we’ll regret it later. Then we will simply buy the land first and build in 2 years.
Thank you very much for the feedback on the cost point painting work. It’s interesting how much it varies. I will now only estimate 3.5 thousand euros until the final calculation.
