What is the point of this statement? A Hartzi also has significantly less and may have trouble making ends meet.

Apparently, only the Friedrich Merz middle class is around here.

Personally, that would honestly be too tight for me. What costs have you calculated for the move or move-in? Here a towel rack, there a lamp, a new cabinet over there. You quickly end up in the range of 5 to 10k.

Are you repaying the KfW component from the start? How high is your annual repayment in percent and euros?

How many years is the financing supposed to run? Will you have finished repaying with these key data points by retirement?

No, I don't mean that you automatically manage with less. I find it rather astonishing that someone with a 1200 payment but the same net income finds it unimaginable. What is all that money spent on every month? Regarding the further remark: we went on vacation 3 times this year. It wasn't a luxury vacation but also not chosen just to save. Great vacations :) I do think it would work. I’m more concerned about the time horizon and how others calculate. Two years ago, such amounts could still be financed with 1.9k, but not anymore now. Amazing how this can escalate here… everyone can do as they like. I don't think there's an absolute right or wrong, but it seems to me that some think so from their perspective.

: 1.65 repayment at the beginning. KfW only after the first year. Moving costs 4-5k.

done after 29.7 years. But I think at some point hopefully one can refinance cheaper again. So at some point a special termination. In case of doubt then the almost 30 years.

I consider the costs for moving and moving in too low. Last time the moving company alone cost us 4000 without any finishing touches in the apartment.

Clarify what the construction company understands by turnkey - we had a big gap between our idea and that of the company.

In addition to the increased interest rates, there are also other increased costs. Food, gasoline, electricity, gas, etc... This affects everyone differently, which is probably why there are so many opinions. In your example of 1.9k, the monthly burden is now 550 EUR higher. Almost everyone notices that food has become significantly more expensive. Also, the kWh of electricity does not cost 22 cents more. Those who have to drive a lot certainly also notice that a liter now costs not 1.60 but 1.90 or 2 EUR. Altogether, that quickly amounts to 800 EUR more costs per month, and at some point the money simply runs out before the month is over. If it still works for you, then just do it.
