Hilaria, that’s what I meant. At first, it was unclear to me whether you might have said personally "please use this much less screed there." As it looks now, the matter is clear after all. And if floor coverings are planned right from the start, it should also be a level surface, with "usual" tiles and parquet. Yes Perlenmann, that’s actually how I see it too. Maybe strip parquet fits – that is, standing upright.

So, thank you very much. Maybe I was not clear enough at the beginning. We (clients) have been thinking back and forth and maybe this is an explanation: Our originally sampled tiles were not deliverable even after 4 months. The original delivery time was 3 weeks. So we were called in for a new sampling immediately before laying, where we had to reluctantly choose other tiles. (Stock goods) Do all tiles have the same height? Or can several factors add up here and lead to this difference? Who can reliably make a statement now on how to fix this? The floor installer simply says: "can't be done" Regards Hilaria

Take to heart the tips that have already been given. Complaint about defects with a deadline to your contract partner. The floor layer probably won't be the one, so his statement can be ignored. I am not aware that there are such big differences in tiles. Polygonal paving was probably not planned : )

@Meecrob, I do that too. Today a deficiency letter will go out, including a deadline. Let's see if they suddenly know the DIN after all, which supposedly does not exist for such things.

Best regards
Hilaria

In the mm range, nothing is definitely done in construction - especially not with the screed. We also have parquet and tiles on one level and the parquet is 15mm thick plus adhesive - the tiles 10mm plus adhesive. For this, there are rails that are placed over it
