You wrote above "on one level". Now you mention an edge that is covered with a rail. I understand edge and rail, that is clear. I wanted to have an explanation of level and rail, but that is no longer necessary. Logically, the screed has tolerances. Nevertheless, different screed heights can be specified. The difference should perhaps be larger than the tolerance limit (see DIN 18202). For parquet and the like, the floor usually has to be treated separately anyway (sanding, vacuuming, filling with 2 to 3 mm).

No, why should the screed be worked on if the parquet is installed correctly and well? What is "such things"? As I already said, you know the answer and I’m not interested in such strange games. You haven’t written anything new either...

With us, the screed was also "installed" to the respective desired thickness, so the screed workers apparently manage a few millimeters difference. On the other hand, in other rooms the screed is deliberately quite even in height.

Our floor coverings (top layer including adhesive) differ in their thickness by a calculated 8 mm. Accordingly, the screed layer was asked to create this height difference. In my opinion, he succeeded very well. The rest now has to be done by the floor installers ...
