Heating concept for new buildings - heat pump vs. masonry heater?

If it is reasonably well insulated, as is actually already required for new buildings, a stove is always uncomfortably warm. On top of that come exhaust gases, fine dust, dirt, and work. You really have to have it as a hobby.

Wood provides warmth 3 times over.
Storage space is needed, which should not be underestimated, especially since plots of land are getting smaller.
The chimney has to go somewhere and the chimney sweep also costs money.
Besides, who knows when the next regulations on fine dust will come.

By the way, the 50 euros/cubic meter are quite cheap. Here it is currently 79 euros (not necessarily hardwood) and has been even higher. Although I think the prices will calm down again.

Thank you for the information. I'll try to summarize

[*]Nailing parquet would be done by ourselves here, but since we don't like having lava under our feet, glued parquet would probably also be an option.
[*]A heat pump would probably be necessary. Completely without 'automatic' heating, there would likely be a risk that we couldn't keep up with the wood at some point. Instant water heater/domestic water heat pump probably consume a lot of electricity or are not far off cost-wise from the heat pump solution?
[*]The mentioned electricity consumption of 3000kWh would be WITHOUT heat pump for the 150sqm single-family house, right? With oil heating we already have 4000kWh with 2 children.
[*]A masonry heater in Eff-Haus 55 would be possible (stove builder, wood, chimney sweep, fireplace). Cost of 1 cubic meter of spruce currently 65 euros for us (Brother-in-law's tractor also consumes diesel). Cutting wood is a great counterbalance to office work. Here, benchmark values for heat pump electricity consumption would again be interesting.
[*]Here in the village, everyone burns wood and nobody minds. I also find the smell/fine dust pollution very moderate. Our city apartment near a main road was much worse. But I don't want to get into that discussion here.

Dertill had already said something about the costs. Here is a simple calculation again: So 65€ for 1300kWh is about 5ct/kWh. With a heat pump, you can easily achieve an annual performance factor of 5 and at 25ct/kWh heat pump electricity, that also corresponds to 5ct/kWh heating energy via heat pump. If you now consider that you can't make hot water with the fireplace, it heats very unevenly, meaning sometimes it’s very warm and then cools down again, etc., requires additional work, needs storage space, etc., that already sounds very little sensible.

Thanks for the input, then I’ll talk to my wife about the campfire romance. A masonry stove should bring a certain inertia but maybe we would have to classify it as a luxury.

Don't forget the costs for the chimney sweep.
