There are big differences in parquet. Take the top layer as thick as possible. 3.6mm is okay. Then I advise you to go for solid wood. The base of the parquet is made from the same wood as the top layer, of course only B and C grade. But the wood works the same way. If you want to save money, lay the parquet yourself. It’s pretty easy. And definitely don’t save on the glue. Take the most expensive one. The same goes for applying it with the notched trowel. Make sure that the entire floor surface is really covered with glue. Then you will enjoy the parquet. And you can sand it again after many years.
