Gas price increase, the second episode

The attentive user knows that I am addressing (not only) my gas price increase. See The switch was successfully completed on 01.01.22. Tomorrow the direct debit authorization will be signed and sent. Today we receive an email from the old provider: they terminate our contract as of 02.12.2031 and immediately stop the supply.

We hereby terminate the gas supply contract existing between us with effect as of 02.12.2021. As of this date, we have stopped the supply of gas.

If you have received from us a price change effective after 02.12.2021, please consider it void.

As you could see from media reports, we have been facing an unprecedented price explosion at the European energy trading platforms for several weeks, the causes of which can be seen in an extraordinary concurrence of various factors.

The development on the European natural gas market is particularly drastic. Recently, the gas price for deliveries in the upcoming winter period on the procurement markets has increased by more than 400% at its peak.
:eek: From now on we are compulsorily insured… uh… compulsorily supplied - basic supply and legally ensured.

Just ask your new supplier if they can bring forward the delivery start.

Gruenwelt...was the same for me too...I also only start with the new provider on 2.1, until then 1 month of basic supply. That's when you see what the contract term is worth when it becomes too expensive for the provider. ;)

Contract is contract, that applies to both sides. If you have not given notice (apart from the change of course, of course), object. See also article in [Handelsblatt].
