My experience with Gardena is that it usually starts causing problems after 2-3 years and then needs to be replaced. Sprinklers that became leaky when connected to the Profi-System, non-functioning water stops in the couplings. Pumps that start to whistle after two hours of watering, as "this can happen with continuous operation, just plan a break." Unfortunately, the quality is no longer what it used to be, based on my experience. Currently, I am watering with Rainbird (sprinklers, control) and, for the past two weeks, Toro (sprinklers) and have had no malfunctions in nearly three years. Except for one sprinkler that I damaged myself. The Microdrip was replaced with Rainbird's XFS Dripline (thanks for the tip in one of your posts), I can confirm the clogging as described by . The pressure requirement is also lower; where I previously operated about 35-40m of Microdrip, I now have about 120m of Dripline in total without pressure problems. Not to mention the cost savings. Gardena 50m 25mm pipe about 60 euros 50m 25mm PE pipe PN16 about 35 euros. For me, only the hoses and accessories for manual water withdrawal are still from Gardena; however, they will also be replaced with alternatives if defective. These are currently only left over from the rental apartment.
